Evan Kail explores Shenzhen's Luohu

Evan Kail, an American content creator and TikTok vlogger, arrived in Shenzhen on March 21 for his second visit to China. Widely recognized for donating a WWII photo album documenting Japan's invasion of China, Kail’s trip highlights Luohu’s vibrant cultural and economic landscape.
His first stop was the Yuehai City·Gold Beer Art District, where he took a helicopter tour over Wutong Mountain’s azalea blossoms. The mountain boasts over 50,000 azaleas spanning 40 hectares, including ancient trees over 1,000 years old.
Kail then explored Shuibei, China's jewelry capital, home to over 7,000 companies and 20 specialized markets. He visited the Guinness-certified world’s largest jewelry wall and received a snake-shaped brooch inspired by Chinese zodiac culture.
He concluded his visit with panoramic views of Luohu Port, a historic border crossing linking Shenzhen and Hong Kong since 1910. As night fell, the illuminated skyline of the Greater Bay Area underscored the region's growing connections.
After Luohu, Kail plans to explore more cities, fostering cultural exchange between China and the U.S. through firsthand storytelling. He encouraged more international visitors to experience the real China for themselves.
