Sportsmen and sportswomen from Shenzhen collected five gold medals in the Summer FISU World University Games held in Chengdu, Sichuan province, from July 28 to Aug 8. Swimmer Chen Jun’er from Luohu won two of the five gold medals. Chen also won a bronze medal in the games.

The Chinese delegation took a total of 103 gold medals in the event, followed by Japan at 21 and the Republic of Korea at 17. Around 6,500 college students from 113 countries and regions took part in the games.
