The Luohu energy-saving publicity week was launched at Sungang on July 10. Sungang is one of the first batch of communities in Shenzhen to pilot quasi-zero-emissions projects.

Various kinds of publicity activities, including seminars and forums, will be held during next week to advocate green consumption and popularize knowledge and technology in the hope of reducing carbon emissions and promoting the formation of green, low-carbon lifestyles and production in the district, as well as prompt the people to live a healthy life, saving food and energy.

Nearly 150 people from the city’s ecology and environmental protection bureau, district government, legislature, political advisory body, enterprises, media outlets, and schools participated in the launch.

At the opening of the event, Shenzhen Gas Group shared its successful experience of energy transformation and utilization of ideas to help Luohu with its green and low-carbon development. Meanwhile, the Luohu Power Supply Bureau introduced its new green energy-saving measures in the field of electric power.

Luohu boasts a well-preserved ecology and natural environment, featuring mountains and lakes, as well as actively develops its green economy and industries and technologies related to emissions reduction.

The district aims to reduce its energy consumption per unit of GDP by 15.5% between 2020 by 2025.
