Intangible cultural heritages promoted in campus and neighborhoods
A ceremony marking the launch of intangible cultural heritage classes was held at the Dawang School in Donghu on May 10.
Simultaneously, a symposium on coordinating homeschooling and school education was organized to explore the possibility of popularizing intangible cultural heritage classes in schools across Luohu district.
The contents of the classes at Dawang School are based on the intangible cultural heritages of the Miao people, living in Longlin county of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and the Shui people, living in Sandu county of Guizhou province, spanning their costumes, arts, and embroideries.
Persons in charge of the Donghu sub-district office said that these intangible cultural heritages will also be promoted in local neighborhoods to contribute to the rural vitalization projects in Longlin and Sandu and cultivate young people’s interests in traditional arts and patriotism.
