The five-day May Day holiday ending on May 3 has undoubtedly presented tourists from home and abroad with a good opportunity to appreciate the charms of Luohu.

Among these, the concert the district government held at the King Glory Plaza on the evening of May 2 was quite popular.

Featuring singers and musicians from Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland performing on the same stage, the concert’s theme was on the integrated development of Hong Kong and Shenzhen, highlighting Luohu’s unique role in advancing that process.

The concert also set the stage for promoting exchanges between musicians from Hong Kong and the mainland.

As part of a new, recently-issued tourism policy, the district government called on tourism departments and companies to give a full play to Luohu’s advantage as a neighbor to Hong Kong in the process of promoting the high-quality development of its tourism and pay special attention to attracting Hong Kong tourists to boost consumption.

Aside from the concert, a series of cultural, art, and tourism activities are to be held in Luohu throughout the rest of the year.
