Plug and Play China launches Greater Bay Area International Innovation Center in Luohu

On April 15, the Plug and Play China Greater Bay Area International Innovation Center officially opened its doors in Luohu, Shenzhen, during the “AI + Industry Cross-Border Innovation Day” event. Guided by the Luohu District Bureau of Science, Technology, and Industrial Information, the launch marked a significant step forward in promoting cross-border innovation between artificial intelligence and various industries.
Plug and Play, one of the world’s earliest and most active technology accelerators and early-stage investors, has a proven track record in nurturing global tech giants. It played a key role in the early development of Google and was an early investor in PayPal. Over the years, it has established the world’s largest startup ecosystem and an open innovation platform, connecting startups, corporations and investors worldwide.
The newly launched innovation center is a joint initiative between Plug and Play China and the Luohu District People's Government. As a key part of Plug and Play’s global strategy, the center strengthens its presence in China and serves as a highly internationalized platform for technological innovation.
Designed to foster enterprise growth and industry collaboration, the center focuses on enterprise innovation services, technology project investment, and international talent development. It houses a range of specialized zones, including an enterprise demand release area, project roadshow hall, co-working spaces, product exhibition areas, and an investment matchmaking zone. Together, these components form a comprehensive, full-chain innovation support system.
With the mission of becoming a high-level hub for global innovation, the Plug and Play China Greater Bay Area International Innovation Center aims to connect global innovation resources with the local industrial ecosystem. By accelerating the growth of startups and facilitating collaboration between international innovators and domestic enterprises, the center is set to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of technology in the region.
